DRIZZLE (2027) - upcoming
Guy has been in the basement of this theater for a thousand years. One day, while reading the newspaper, he hears a commotion upstairs. He goes to investigate and his body is taken over by a mysterious sound which leads him out of the theater, through the town, and into the river. Under the surface, he drops back onto the stage, where Guy encounters the Unknowable Thing. It stalks him, and he narrowly escapes its clutches. He appears again above the surface, scrambling out of the water while it tries to drag him back, but he breaks free and is subsequently raptured.
JUNKYARD REVERIE (2023)
Part of the Red Rock Arts Festival in Moab, UT, Junkyard Reverie was an immersive exploration of imagined futures. This interactive experience featured a portal through which those visiting were transported to a post-apocalyptic sanctuary 200 years in the future. In this strange sacred space, the visitor was invited to spin the wheel to obtain an oracle card, then make an offering at the shrine before entering a space with friend or stranger to ponder meaning-making, home, and our collective fate. At a time of cultural and existential uncertainty, Junkyard Reverie invited participants to consider our human relationship to – and effect on – the world around us.
HOYNE ON THE COYNE (2013)
THE TRAP! (2013)
A performance/installation for the group show UR IN CHARGE. In the dead of night, two alien creatures set a trap in the backyard of a San Francisco home to lure and capture a human, using what they believe to be an irresistible bait - a giant mixing bowl full of macaroni and cheese, on a folding table, in the spot of a shop light. They sit in the bushes for hours and wait, observing the humans as they come outside to investigate, share secrets, make out, and smoke cigarettes.
